Information Collection and Use

Chatter Inc. is the sole owner of the information collected on our web sites, unless explicitly stated otherwise. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in these policies. Chatter may collect information from our users at several different points on our websites and affiliate websites.

Registration

In order to use Chatter's products and services, a user must first complete a registration form located on one of our web sites. During registration a user may be required to give their contact information (such as name, e-mail address and cellular phone number). This information is used to contact the user about the services on our site for which they have expressed interest and necessary for Chatter Inc. to provide the services being requested. Many of our registration points use a confirmed optin mobile process to complete a registration as a method for authenticating a cell phone subscriber. This process requests that the user enter a unique confirmation code on our web site to confirm their registration. During this type of registration process the user will receive a text message on their cellular phone containing the confirmation code. On any sites that do not use this confirmed optin process, a text message is sent to the subscriber's cell phone after completing a registration form stating that they have been subscribed to a service. It is optional for the user to provide demographic information (such as income level and gender), but encouraged so we can provide a more personalized experience of our products and services. Additional data that we may collect on particular services may include a user's shipping address and credit card billing data. If we have trouble processing a registration, contact information may be used to get in touch with the user.

Log Files

We may use IP addresses, phone numbers and other collected information to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses may be used by us to personally identify a person that may be abusing our products and services.

Sharing

We may share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. We may use outside service providers to provide our products and services to you in which case, we will maintain agreements with these vendors in order to abide by these privacy policies. Our contracts with these service providers do not authorize them to use your data in anyway that is outside of the products and services you are requesting from us on this privacy policy. We may release your contact and other information to third parties when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to comply with law or in response to a subpoena, warrants, etc.

We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our sites and to read the privacy policies of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. Surveys & Contests

From time-to-time our site may request information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name, e-mail and cellular phone number), and demographic information (such as zip code and age). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of our products and services.

Tell-A-Friend

If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our products and services, we may ask them for the friend's name, email address and cellular phone number. Chatter Inc. will automatically send the friend a one-time email or SMS inviting them to visit the site. Chatter Inc. stores this information for the sole purpose of sending these one time messages.

Product and Service Offers, Announcements, and Updates

We may send new members a welcoming email or SMS to verify their enrollment. Established users will occasionally receive information on our products and services through an email newsletter or SMS. We may also send the user site and service announcement updates. These announcements and updates may contain messages from third party advertisers. Advertisements or sponsorships may also be included on the products and services being provided. We may communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email or SMS.

Correction/Updating Personal Information

If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as your cellular phone number), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user's personal data provided to us. We may also send the user by email or SMS information requesting them to update or maintain their account.

If all or part of Chatter is sold, merged or otherwise transferred to another entity, the data, whether personally identifiable or otherwise, associated with the services provided by that part of the company may be transferred as part of that transaction.
