Truancy and Attendance: FamilyFirst Alerts™ software links to the school Student Information System automatically sends out a voice, email and text-message to each parent whose child is not in attendance. The message asks the parent to respond to the questions asked to determine the status of the absence. This results in increased attendance and is universally endorsed by police and probation officers.
Library Late Notices: Parents can be notified when library books or other materials are overdue as well as inform parents that materials on order are available to check out. This saves phone calls and time for both parents’ and library staff.
Calendar: Announcements, events, meetings and other school related activities can be posted directly to the calendar. Choose the date and time you want your notification to be sent out and the group you want to receive the notification. Normally the appropriate notification is email, so click on the “Add Now” button to confirm your scheduled notification.
Send SMS: Sending one or a thousand text-messages (SMS) is easy. Create your own message or choose a message from the template drop down menu. Choose the group you intend to send it to, either immediately or at a later date and time.
Emergency: Sending an emergency message is similar to sending a general message as described above. The same template options will appear and you can select any or all groups. The message can be sent by voice, email and SMS. Additionally, you can choose emergency services, such as: fire, police, medical and others. Specific templates can be assigned to these pre-defined emergency personnel for the quickest response possible.
Managing Groups: Creating groups within the existing database or adding new groups to the database is easy. Group identification makes scheduling repetitive messages, such as: meeting reminders, staff activities, and other school related events extremely time efficient.
Customization: Specific school requirements may requirements may require custom code writing. To date, FFA has been able to meet all such requests.
